No. Reconnect design focuses exclusively on landscape design and planning. We create detailed, professional design plans that include construction drawings, plant specifications, material selections and implementation guidelines. You can take these plans to any licensed landscape contractor for installation. For an additional fee we can act as your project manager and liaison working with your contractor to ensure the plans and your project go as smoothly and as planned.

Most landscape design projects take 2-6 weeks from initial consultation to final plan delivery depending on complexity of your project.

Our complimentary consultation is a no-obligation conversation about your landscape goals and vision. We'll discuss how you want to use your outdoor space, your style preferences, budget parameters, timeline expectations and any specific challenges or requirements. This 20 minute call helps us understand your project and allows you to determine if we're the right fit for your project needs. There's no pressure and no cost. It’s just landscape guidance and clarity on what's possible.

Absolutely! Many of our clients choose to implement their landscape design themselves, either fully or partially. We create clear, detailed plans that include step-by-step implementation guidance, material quantities, planting instructions and construction specifications written for your understanding. We can also offer phased installation recommendations so you can tackle your landscape project over time as budget and energy allow.

Design revisions are a normal part of the process! Your initial design proposal includes 2 rounds of revisions, allowing us to refine the plan based on your feedback. We'll present the initial concept, gather your thoughts and adjust elements like plant selections, hardscape materials, layout configurations or budget considerations. Additional revision rounds beyond what's included can be added for a modest fee. Our goal is a design you absolutely love.

Reconnect Design provides landscape design services throughout the greater Sacramento are. We're intimately familiar with local climate conditions, soil types, native plants, water restrictions and municipal requirements. Some clients want comprehensive whole-property master plans, while others focus on specific problem areas. We're flexible and can scale our services to match your priorities and budget.

Low-maintenance landscapes typically feature drought-tolerant plants, efficient irrigation, minimal lawn areas, strategic hardscaping and perennial plantings over annuals. During your consultation, we'll discuss your desired maintenance commitment and design accordingly.

Yes! We love creating landscapes that support bees, butterflies, hummingbirds, and beneficial insects. This includes native plant selections, bloom succession for year-round nectar, host plants for caterpillars, water sources for wildlife and pesticide-free maintenance recommendations. Supporting local ecosystems doesn't mean sacrificing aesthetics. In fact pollinator gardens are often the most beautiful.

Absolutely. We'll assess which existing plants are worth preserving based on health, placement and design contribution. Mature trees especially are invaluable landscape assets we design around whenever possible. Sometimes existing plants just need better companions or updated surroundings to shine. We'll have honest conversations about what's worth keeping and what's holding your landscape back.

Come to the consultation with inspiration images you've collected, approximate budget parameters, priority features or must-haves, timeline expectations and any photos of your current landscape. That said, we can have a productive conversation even if you're just starting to think about your landscape. Don't let lack of preparation prevent you from reaching out. We're here to guide you through the entire process.

Once you have your completed design plans, you can take them to landscape contractors for installation bids, implement the design yourself over time or phase the project across multiple seasons. We provide contractor recommendations if you need them and we're available for additional consultation during installation when needed. The design is yours to use as you see fit.

Yes! Many clients return for seasonal updates, new project areas or design adjustments as their needs evolve. We also offer design consultation services if questions arise during installation or if you want guidance on plant care, maintenance. We're invested in your landscape's success beyond the initial design delivery.
